Shredded the belt today. Right after I got it running again.

I was on my way home, literally 24 hours after I got the car charging again after replacing the alternator. When will it end?

It gets old when it's 23 degrees outside.. The good news is I didn't damage anything so I can get the belt back on if I loosen the alternator.

Probably when you replace whatever is causing the belt to get misaligned.

No idea. I just replaced the alternator. We just stretched the belt to get it on until I can get a new tensioner
